Music Monday commences with “Natural One” by The Folk Implosion!
Maybe it’s a sensory memory of my little lake home town in the era of Sublime! I do enjoy Sublime, but for me The Folk Implosion was a more interesting “alternative”. It’s that dreamy, trip hopish, folk, poetic mellow heart kind of jam. The one that makes me stare at the rainbows casted from the crystals hung from my windows at sunset.
Back in the day, they actually had real drummers playing these beats live. Do you remember? The entire album is great. I’ve never skipped a song. This worked for me in 1994! My guess is that in the same era, those that should’ve possessed this album, probably had Morcheeba, Portishead and the Sneaker Pimps between their seats… That was not a typo!
